Overview

Family reunion allows refugees and those with humanitarian protection in the UK to be joined by their close family members. Unlike other immigration routes, there is no fee for family reunion applications, and the financial and accommodation requirements that apply to other family visas do not apply.

The right to family reunion is a fundamental principle recognised in international law. As a refugee or person with humanitarian protection, you can sponsor your spouse/partner and children under 18 to join you in the UK.
